Day By Day Highlights

Day 1: Arrival JRO – Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Your private guide meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Transfer to your luxury lodge in Arusha to relax and prepare for the wild journey ahead.

    • Accommodation: Gran Melia Arusha or similar.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Head to Tarangire, the park of elephants and baobabs. This park serves as a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s predators. Enjoy a luxury bush lunch surrounded by the “Giants of the Savannah.”

    • Accommodation: Tarangire Treetops or similar.

Day 3: Tarangire – Karatu Highlands

After a morning game drive, head toward the lush green hills of Karatu. This stop allows you to visit a local coffee estate or enjoy the spa facilities at your luxury lodge before the Serengeti.

    • Accommodation: Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Karatu – Central Serengeti (Seronera)

Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Serengeti. The Central region is home to resident big cats (leopard and lion) year-round. Arrive for a romantic sunset game drive.

Day 5: Central Serengeti Exploration

Spend a full day exploring the Seronera River valley. This area provides the most reliable wildlife viewing in Africa. Enjoy a private picnic under an Acacia tree while watching the horizon.

Day 6: Central Serengeti – Migration Tracking

Travel deeper into the path of the Great Migration (North or West depending on the month). Experience the vastness of the plains as millions of wildebeest and zebras move in a thunderous wave.

Day 7: Full Day Migration Experience

Witness the drama of the migration. Your guide will position the vehicle near crossing points or birthing plains. Experience the raw power of nature as predators track the moving herds.

Day 8: Migration Plains – Ngorongoro Crater Rim

A final morning game drive in the Serengeti before driving back toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Stay at a lodge perched directly on the rim for the most spectacular views in Africa.

    • Accommodation: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Descend into the world’s largest intact caldera for 6 hours of game viewing. This is your best chance to spot the rare Black Rhino. Return to Karatu for a celebratory final bush dinner.

Day 10: Karatu – Arusha – Departure JRO

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a visit to the Cultural Heritage Center for souvenirs. After lunch in Arusha, your guide will transfer you to JRO for your international departure.
